Self Pay

My other clients have received partial or full reimbursement from their insurance providers. I always provide a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement. I am not able to guarantee it, however, you can check with your specific insurance provider by asking about lactation coverage.  You can also get some guidance on how to navigate insurance reimbursement in this free resource from the National Women’s Law Center. It should absolutely be covered under the Affordable Care Act.

  • There is a $50 travel fee if you live outside of Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, or Middlesex counties.

  • Multiples: each baby will be an additional $100 to cover the extra time required.

  • These prices all include a prompt pay consideration

Insurance

I am an in-network provider with Aetna and most members are covered for six sessions. I bill them directly for your visits. There is a $50 travel convenience fee payable at booking and not billable to Aetna. For more information you can contact Aetna. In the past, I have also found other companies, Google, for instance, offers 100% coverage for in-home lactation support for their employees.

Mary Lou helped our family become a family. Through her excellent teaching, we learned not only about the birth experience but also about nursing and trusting in our maternal and paternal instincts. Our children were both delivered naturally and the second one was completely without any medical intervention. In addition, thanks to Mary Lou, we have successfully breastfed both babies. Our first, for more than 2 years and our second is still nursing at 8 months.
